1 : In the video above we see what we meditate upon in the Joyful Mystery.

1st joyful mystery

In the first Joyful Mystery, the annunciation, the Angel Gabriel appears to Mary and tells Mary that she had been chosen. And to God's will she said "Behold the handmaid, the servant of the Lord: be it done to me according to Your word.". Because of the humbleness and obedience that Mary had to God's will, She said that "Yes", that opened heavens way, and achieved the will of the father.

Let us pray that we can say yes to the father in every instance he ask it of us.

2ndjoyful mystery

In the second Joyful Mystery, the visitation, as soon as Mary realised that Elizabeth, Mary's cousin, who had been barren for a long time had conceived a son she went to Elizabeth. And Elizabeth, seeing Mary, cried out with a loud voice saying "blessed art though amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb!”

So as soon as Mary visited Elizabeth, Elizabeth and John the Baptist, who was in the womb of Elizabeth, was filled with joy and John the Baptist leapt with Joy. So Mary brings joy to the whole world, let us pray to mother Mary and we shall all be filled with the holy spirit and joy.

3rdjoyful mystery

In the third Joyful Mystery, Jesus is Born and two completely opposite type of people came to Jesus.

The shepherds who came from far away, left their sheep to see infant Jesus. Even though the shepherds were a long way away from Jesus, they left all their precious sheep and travelled that long way to Bethlehem. Through the shepherds we see that they gave more priority to Jesus then to their possessions. So let us be like the shepherds and give the first priority to Jesus. Also the Kings came, following the star, and they brought Jesus Gold, Frankincense and myrrh. So these Kings treated Jesus as a king, and Jesus indeed was a King.

4thjoyful mystery

In the fourth Joyful Mystery, after the days of her purification was fulfilled according to the laws of Moses they took him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord.

We need to pay attention to the voice of God, to discern His call and accept the mission He gave us. After the Simeon prophecy, Mary takes into Her Heart the wound of sorrow, but in the silence She accepts the will of Her Father.

5thjoyful mystery

In the fifth Joyful Mystery, Jesus became lost, and after three days they found him in the temple sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions.

Let us think of how many times we have been far from Jesus; from that Jesus, who with so much love has died for us. Let us meditate that in the difficulties of life the only safety is finding Jesus and never again leaving his great love.
