What the Sacred Heart of Jesus want from us.

Let us contemplate for a moment what the Sacred Heart of Jesus who is God Almighty, who created all things visible and invisible from nothingness and who is Our Father, the Creator who is being constantly and gloriously praised and worshipped by angels and heavenly hosts requires us to do. This Divine Heart, overflowing with charity gives itself fully to us. Sacred Heart of Jesus, full of goodness and well spring of all virtues is always accessible to bless us and to provide all necessary graces. My soul, what does this bountiful God desire from you? He does not desire wealth or respect. He just desires one thing and that is your heart. As long as you don’t surrender your heart fully to Him it is not possible to please Him. Once Jesus asked St.Lutgardis, “What do you desire from me?” The saint’s reply was, “The only thing I desire from You is Your Sacred Heart”. Then our divine Lord said,” I desire your heart much more than you desire mine. So give your heart fully to me.”

Let us listen carefully to what our Lord and Father desires. Let us earnestly fulfill His desire at the earliest. He knocks at our heart to fill us with His divine blessings. He desires to shower upon us both spiritual and material gifts. So let us get rid of all evil deeds in us, wash and purify ourselves in tears of repentance and then enter into His divine presence.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, my comforter, my solace and consoler of my heart, I worship you. O my Savior, full of love and pity towards me! Lord of my heart! The only thing I desire is to love You. Since you have given yourself fully to me, it is ingratitude that I do not give my heart fully to You. O Father, full of goodness and love! King of my heart! It is true that until today I have placed my interest in material things. Going forth be You King and Father of my heart. Be You Lord and Friend of my soul. Let all material things become sour to me. Lord Jesus, full of mercy! I desire only You.

Grant to Your Church, O Lord, assurance of freedom, protect our Supreme Pontiff and make haste that all may know the haven of truth, and have unity of faith, so that there may soon be one fold and one Shepherd! Lord, be merciful to the unfortunate sinners, console the souls in Purgatory and be merciful to me, your unworthy servant. O Immaculate Heart of Mary, O Mother of all blessings, I firmly believe that through your powerful intercession, all my prayers and petitions will be granted. Amen.
